PKRS partners with Sarawak’s ministries to deliver curriculum-integrated programmes across every life stage — from preschool coding to senior digital inclusion, building a national model for community wellbeing.
Sarawak is the first state in Malaysia — and among the first in the world — to embed structured coding and AI education at the preschool level.

KIDS Bits & Bytes — SeDidik
Preschool · Ministry Partnership (KPWK) · Foundational Coding & Early AI
Delivered in partnership with the Sarawak Ministry of Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development (KPWK), KIDS Bits & Bytes is integrated into the official SeDidik Preschool Digital Literacy Curriculum. This positions Sarawak as the first state in Malaysia to implement structured coding and AI education at the preschool level.
The programme follows Course A and Course B from Code.org, including AI for Oceans — giving children aged six and above their first structured exposure to computational thinking, online safety, and artificial intelligence. The curriculum is benchmarked to International CSTA Standards, aligning with global best practices from the earliest stage of learning.
“That makes us the first state in the world to implement this programme in pre-school. While other countries may believe that children are too young to participate in such programmes, we believe otherwise. This is the crucial age when they begin to shape their thinking, making it essential for their development.”
— Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah
Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Sarawak

Bits & Bytes — STEM Catalysts
Raspberry Pi 2025 Tour · MEITD & Sarawak Skills · 18 Districts
Led by the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development (MEITD) Sarawak and Sarawak Skills, the Raspberry Pi 2025 Tour brought hands-on STEM education to 6,000+ students across 160+ rural schools in 18 districts — reaching communities across Sarawak, many for the first time. PKRS was invited as a lead partner delivering coding and AI competitions across all 18 districts — as a Code.org International Partner, all competitions were aligned with the International CSTA Standards. Every participating student received a certificate of achievement.
Students engaged with interactive STEM activities including robotics, AI-controlled technologies, drone racing, and hydraulic systems — all designed to build curiosity, confidence, and computational thinking.
Beyond each tour stop, PKRS partnered with Swinburne University Sarawak, University of Technology Sarawak, and Curtin Malaysia to upskill teachers in computing and digital learning across more than 1,200 schools — building lasting local capacity that extends well beyond 2025.
“You too can excel in coding and STEM regardless of your location.”
— Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn

Digital Technologies Seniors Programme (DTSP)
Swinburne University Sarawak Collaboration · KPWK-Supported · Intergenerational Learning
A collaboration between Swinburne University Sarawak and Persatuan Kebajikan Rolf Schnyder, the Digital Technologies Seniors Programme delivers free digital literacy training to senior citizens across Sarawak. Developed by Scott J. Wong and Andrea Wong with PKRS, in collaboration with Swinburne University Sarawak — extending structured digital inclusion across generations and communities.
The programme places Swinburne student volunteers — trained as Cyber Ambassadors — at the heart of delivery, facilitating intergenerational learning between university students and senior participants. Training covers mobile devices, online banking, social media, digital photography, and scam awareness — equipping seniors with practical skills for everyday independence.
The programme is supported by the Ministry of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development (KPWK), and has received ministerial recognition for its role in sustaining community wellbeing and dignity for Sarawak’s ageing population.
“A critical vehicle for sustaining community wellbeing and dignity for Sarawak’s ageing population.”
— YB Dato Sri Hajah Fatimah Abdullah
Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Sarawak

ChildSafe Malaysia
Teacher & Community Training · Child Sexual Abuse Awareness · Measurable Outcomes
ChildSafe Malaysia trains teachers and community members to recognise, respond to, and prevent child sexual abuse — equipping educators with practical tools to protect children in their care. The programme addresses one of the most persistent and underreported challenges facing children across Malaysia and the region.
Research consistently underscores the urgency: 1 in 10 children in East Asia and the Pacific have experienced sexual abuse (Childlight, University of Cambridge). Globally, 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 13 boys experience sexual abuse during childhood (CDC). Informed, trained educators are among the most powerful protective factors a child can have.
Programme Highlights
- Structured child safety training for teachers, school staff, and community members
- Evidence-based curriculum addressing recognition, reporting, and prevention
- Practical tools for educators to create safer environments for children
- Grounded in global child protection research and regional prevalence data
- Measurable outcomes tracked across training cohorts
Nourish Malaysia
Community Nutrition & Student Welfare · SK Damansara Damai 2 · Nourish Malaysia Partnership
In partnership with Nourish Malaysia, PKRS supports community nutrition and education programmes for under-privileged students at SK Damansara Damai 2, Kuala Lumpur. The programme recognises that meaningful learning begins with a child who is nourished, secure, and supported — and that community welfare and education are inseparable.
Nourish Malaysia’s mission — delivering nutritional support and education resources to vulnerable children across the country — aligns directly with PKRS’ commitment to whole-child wellbeing. This partnership reflects PKRS’ understanding that educational equity requires addressing the full spectrum of a child’s needs, not just classroom learning.
